Good Morning Stampers!

This month's framed art is a Summertime theme. I used several items that coincide with the theme: butterfly, ice cream, blooming flowers, bunnies & birds. It is difficult to see but there is lots of sparkle with the Dazzling Diamonds glitter (102023) and the fine Supernova glitter (114287) in Aqua. This class will be held on Monday, July 5th @ 7pm. Retirement Sale Make & Takes

Hello Stampers! In case you missed the big retirement sale I had yesterday, here are the make & takes that were available:

This first sample features the Watercolor Trio stamp set (117050 w $22.95 - 120084 c $16.95) from the Summer Mini Catalog on page 16. The gorgous embossing is the NEW Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder (120175) from the soon-to-be-released 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog! Only 3 more days until you can order!!!

This second sample is a treat that you can fill with just about any yummy treat! I started with 2 tags from the exclusive Two Tags Sizzix die (115954). Fold them both on the crease & glue the two bottoms together. I punched a Scallop Rectangle from the NEW clearlits Sizzix die (118872) I have so many ideas for this little guy! After I punched it out on the -oh so pretty- new Designer Series paper - Greenhouse Gala (117167), I ran it thru the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder (117335). I added a small piece of Scallop Trim Border in Baja Breeze. The bird is punched from the 2-step bird punch (117191). Wait until you see the the new "Friend" this bird has in the new catalog. He is "owl-standing!! The tag is stamped in Baja Breeze & is from page 131 of the new catalog in a set called Perfect Punches (117022 w - 120516 c). There are so many great stamps that all have a coordinating punch! I completed the bird with a small rhinestone jewel - 119246(yes, we carry them now!!) Whisper White Organza ribbon (114319) & Linen thread (104199) top off the treat.

4th of July style

Good Morning Stampers!

I found an inexpensive (LOVE LOVE LOVE my Dollartree!!) pair of flip flops & altered them to coordinate with my FAb 4th ensemble (see yesterday's post). A little fabric flower, a butterfly out of fun foam and a few sparkle gems is what I used to make the main center embellishment. Lots of scrap ribbon (I save ALL my scrap ribbon!) tied along the straps really make the shoes look festive & they feel so comfortable, too!

Fab Fourth Workshop

Hello Stampers!
These are samples of what we will be making at the Fab Fourth Workshop tomorrow night. It features fabric & felt along with Big Shot dies to create great applique's & flowers to spruce up a plain white t-shirt & barretts. I've also included a cup cozie to identify your drink. This simply slides off the cup and can be added to another. Both the t-shirt & cup cozie are washable! Please contact me to reserve your space.

Staff Appreciation Gifts

Good Morning Stampers!

Well, anyone who know me knows that one of my favorite places to shop is the Dollartree here in town. I love a good deal & enjoy seeing what fun things I can make out of ordinary things. Yesterday afternoon, I had realized that time was a tickin' for me to get started on my bus drivers, secretary's & special's teachers appreciation gifts that I needed to hand out early in the morning. I decided to venture out to see what I could come up with on such short notice. I found these cute little coffee travel mugs for only $1 each! These are meant for kids and have a cute little coloring page inside to decorate. Well, I simply unscrewed the top, replaced the color page with some retired Sweet Pea paper and closed up. Then, with my over-abundance of felt stash, began sewing & gluing flowers to the band that I had made to make my own "Coffee Cozie's". This idea has been seen all over the stamping world the last several weeks, & this is my version. I filled them with a little thank you note along with an individual lemonade packet. I hope they like them!

Teacher Gift

Hello Stampers!

It is hard to believe that another year of school is almost over. It brings both relief & sadness - relief that my schedule has calmed down a bit & sadness because it means my babies are getting older! I made this for my son's 3rd grade teacher as a "Thank You" for another great year. I found a similar project & adapted it to the clipboard I had found while craft shopping. It features the (now retired) Sweet Pea paper & the Chalkboard Decor Elements .
I love the versatility of this raw material. You can cut it to whatever size you may need or run it thru your Big Shot. The possibilities are endless! All you need is a piece of chalk!
