Good Morning, Stampers!

The project I have to share with you today is a sweet little Easter basket I created using little paper treat cups. I found them in the cake decorating section of the craft store. They make great little treats or would be fun at each place setting for Easter dinner..

I started by cutting a piece of Wild Wasabi cardstock 1/2" x 8 1/2" long.. I snipped the paper to form the blades of grass and adhered it to the cup using hot glue.

Next, I punched a strip of 8 1/2" Very Vanilla using the Lace Ribbon Border punch (122362 $19.95) for the handle. Adhere to the basket using hot glue.

Cut a piece of So Saffron cardstock using the Framelits Labels Collection (125598 $26.95). Run the piece thru the Big Shot using the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder (117335 $7.95).

Stamp an image from the Everybunny stamp set (w122705 $27.95 - c122707 $19.95) onto Very Vanilla cardstock using Early Espresso ink. Color as desired and adhere to the framelit using dimensionals. Adhere to the basket with hot glue.

Punch flowers using the Boho Blossoms punch (119858 $16.95) and the Itty Bitty Shapes punch set (118309 $16.95). (I used So Saffron, Pretty in Pink, Wysteria Wonder & Baja Breeze) Finally, add a Basic Pearl (119247 $4.95) to the center of each flower.

Here, you can see I whipped out a few for my Stamp Club swap this month!

This week's 3/$5 class is all about seeing green! St. Patrick's Day, flowers growing, leaves sprouting, etc.

I created these cards so that they could easily be adapted to any occasion. You can choose the sentiment for each card - Birthday, Thank You, Congrats, Thinking of You, St Patrick's Day & more :O)

Fast & Fabulous Friday - Subway Art

Good Morning, Stampers!

I have a Fast & Fabulous Friday project to share with you today! I am seeing Subway Art all over the place these days. I thought I would give myself a chance to create one of my own. My Digital Studio software made it SO EASY to create! Take a look:

After I created & printed onto Whisper White cardstock, I simply added it to a frame. I tied a bow using some Wild Wasabi Striped Grosgrain Ribbon (125059 $9.95) & voila! Not too bad for a first-timer!

I have the printable available here for you. As you can see, the original colors are so much more vibrant than my photo shows. I need to work on my photo skills!

Fabulous Rosette

Good Morning, Stampers!

I love all of the fabulous projects I see using rosettes! They are so much fun to see the different possibilities that one die can give. The Sizzix Designer Rosette (125594 $42.95) from the Occasions Mini Catalog offers many different edge options - scalloped, pinking or straight. You can even finish off the edge using one of our many border punches as well. The best thing about this die is that it is already scored for you! It makes it so simple to create several of these in no time!

On my card here, I wanted a more smaller rosette. So using my Simply Scored tool, I scored in between each score line. The result is a tighter, more compact rosette - perfect for smaller projects.

The width of the rosette is about 5". That makes it possible to make larger rosettes for decorative projects, or, like my card, I cut it to 1" to make the 2" rosette. You could even adhere two pieces together to form a 12"+ rosette! So many options with the one versatile die!

March Framed Art - 2 Ways

Good Morning, Stampers!

I have the March Framed Art to share with you today! "Welcome Spring" is the theme and I thought the Sizzix Elegant Bird (125593 $21.95) is just perfect for this. I incorporated the Fresh Vintage stamp set (w125115 - c125117) and the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (126154) from the Sale-A-Bration brochure - they all work so well together, don't you think? If you click the photo, you can enlarge it to see the detail in the background. I added the image from the Fresh Vintage in Versamark ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder for a subtle but elegant look to the background.

I have a few customers who prefer to do scrapbook pages instead of the Framed Art. I simply took the basic layout from the framed art and used it on (2) 12"x 12" pieces of Baja Breeze cardstock. So versatile and easy to accomodate all papercrafters!

Good Morning, Stampers!

It's FRIDAY! And a snowy one at that! Actually, it looks like a Christmas card outside - it is so beautiful!

Today's Fast & Fabulous card is an easy one to duplicate. It features the Doily Triple Layer punch (122465 $23.95) and the Delicate Doily Stamp set (w125590 $21.95 - c125592 $16.95).

Normally when you punch, you stamp your image first. It is so much easier to line up your image where you want it. However, in this case, it is difficult to line up your image with the doily punch because you can't see where your image is from the backside. So, I simply punched the piece out first and carefully laid it on top of the stamp:

Easy peasy! Punch (4) pieces and stamp in the following colors: Wysteria Wonder, Pretty in Pink, So Saffron and Baja Breeze. I adhered them to the card using dimensionals. The sesntiment is from the Delightful Dozen stamp set (w122650 $32.95 - c122652 $24.95) and stamped in Basic Gray. A rhinestone tops each one for a little "bling"!

Hippitty, Hoppitty, Easter's On It's Way...

Easter falls earlier this year, so I am getting a head-start on my projects. Today's project I created as a "thank-you" for my customer orders this month.

I began with the large oval from the Sizzix Ovlas die (114525 $15.95) on Very Vanilla cardstock.. I stamped the bunny image from the Everybunny stamp set (w122705 $27.95 - c122707 $19.95) in Early Espresso ink. I colored the image using the Watercolor Pencils (101879 $19.95). I finished it off with a few little flowers & pearls as well as a little sparkle with the Dazzling Details (124117 $2.50).

This can be used as a tag for an Easter Basket, added to the front of a card, or for any other Easter papercrafting project!

Good Morning, Stampers!

Did you know that the Stampin' Up! homepage is filled with TONS of great ideas? I came across this tag/bookmark idea and decided to use this as one of my FREE STAMP projects for the month. I love the Crumb Cake/Whisper White combination! Take a moment to check out the great papercraft projects! View the projects here

Here is how to create this fast & fabulous tag/bookmark:

Instructions:

1. Stamp the Always Elegant (w116976 $14.95 - c120477 $11.95) in Whisper White onto the Crumb Cake tag. Tear along the bottom

2. Layer a piece of First Edition Specialty paper (121878 $12.95) on top.

3. On a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, stamp the scallop border and tiny flower in Crumb Cake ink. Cut a "v" in the bottom.

4. Stamp the initial from the Monogram Sweet ABC set (115462 ($31.95) in Chocolate Chip ink.

5. Adhere all of the pieces together placing a hole in the top of the tag/bookmark. Tie a piece of Crumb Cake seam binding (122332 $6.95) to secure.

6. Punch 3 small flowers from Chocolate Chip cardstock and the flower from the Itty Bitty Shapes punch set (118309 $16.95).

7. Adhere to the tag/bookmark and add pearls(119247 $4.95) to the flower centers.

Last Minute Valentine

Good Evening, Stampers!

It is 10:15pm. The last of my Stamp Club members has just left for the evening. My soon-to-be 17 year old comes and asks me if I can come help him make a Valentine card for his girlfriend. Of course, this is a once-in-a-lifetime request, so I agree to help him... He didn't do too bad! Take a look:

Step 1: Run the paper doily thru the Big Shot.

Step 2: Ink up the Mixed Bunch flower in Real Red ink and carefully punch with the coordinating punch...

Step 3: Line the image up & punch the image out.

Step 4: Stamp a sentiment. Step 5: Adhere the pieces to the card.

Step 6: Proudly show off your masterpiece!

Not too bad!! I hope she likes it!

Good Morning, Stampers!

I found this simple idea while browsing Pinterest not too long ago. What a fun idea for a child's Valentine treat! Best of all, you can make this is UNDER 5 MINUTES!!

1. Begin with a strip of Whisper White cardstock measuring 1 1/2" x 6".
2. Along the bottom of the strip, punch the Pinking Hearts border (117649 $15.95).
3. Fold the strip in half and stamp the Valentine sentiment from the Delightful Dozen stamp set (w122650 $32.95 - c122652 $24.95) in Real Red ink.
4. Tie a piece of 1/8" real Red Taffeta ribbon along the fold.
5. Lay 3 Pixie Stix along the fold and glue the flag closed.
6. Snip a "v" along the right side.

7. Punch a small heart (117193 $5.95) from the Red Glimmer paper (121790 $4.95) and adhere it to the pennant.

Mini Frame Art

I came across these mini acrylic appetizer plates (3"x 3") at the party store during the holidays. Honestly, how much can one fit on a tiny plate of this size? Not a whole lot, so I decided to repurpose them. I embellished them with everything Valentine thinking they would be fun on a tiny plate stand or with a magnet on the backside for hanging.... This was my 3d swap from Leadership...

Good Morning, Stampers!

I have a fun & fast project to share with you today. Get a little head-start on your luck-'o-the Irish project for St. Patrick's Day!

Directions:

1. Run a piece of Wild Wasabi cardstock thru the Sizzix Scallop Envelope (113462 $21.95).
2. Emboss the lower half (everything but the flap) using the Stripes embossing folder (FREE during Sale-A-Bration!)
3. Assemble the envelope by folding the side flaps in and the bottom flap up. Adhere with Multi-purpose liquid craft glue.
4. Tie a piece of Wild Wasabi 1 1/4" striped grosgrain ribbon around the entire envelope using Whisper White Baker's Twine (124262 $2.95).
5. Stamp the Happy St. Patrick's a la carte stamp (125457 $7.95) in Wild Wasabi onto Whisper White cardstock.
6. Punch with the Decorative Label punch (120907 $16.95) and adhere to the envelope using dimensionals.
7. Fill with your favorite candy treat!

I must admit the Apothecary Art stamp set (w125525 $34.45 - c125527 $27.95) was not at the top of my list when I first saw the Occasions mini catalog. I know, I know!! What was I thinking?? The images are beautiful!! It took me my 2nd pre order to finally get this set and quite honestly, I don't know what I was waiting for - lol! I adore this set as well as the coordinating Sizzix Framelits Labels Collection (125598 $26.95) that cut them out so perfectly! I think I went a bit over-the-top when I decided to cut all of the flowers and adhere with dimensionals. Yes, I do love to cut!! I guess I won't be making too many of these!!

It's time for a Fast & Fabulous Friday card to share! This card was created using the Outlined Occasions stamp set (w126014 - c126016) from the Sale-A-Bration brochure. It features the Sweet Shop Designer Series Paper (125408 $12.95) and the coordinating Wysteria Wonder Baker's Twine (125576). Stamp the image in Basic Black & color with coordinating markers. The Dazzling Diamonds glitter adds just enough sparkle to the card. It is a great way to utilize all of your DSP scraps, too!!

Good Morning, Stampers!

Today is my FREE STAMP DAY! We meet once a month at my house to create fun stamping projects that are totally FREE! This is a great opportunity to meet and mingle with fellow stampers, create a quick project or two & have fun doing what we love to do - STAMP!

Today's project is a little note card set that I learned while I was in San Antonio last week. I just knew I had to share it with all of you!

This project features one of the NEW Sale-A-Bration stamp sets called Sprinkled Expressions (w125130 - c125132). This stamp set is PERFECT for a project like this! The best part is that this stamp set is totally FREE! Yes, you heard me right! During Sale-A-Bration, a minimum purchase of $50 (before shipping & tax) will earn you a FREE product from the Sale-A-Bration brochure! There is NO LIMIT to the amount of FREE stamps you can earn!

The note cards measure 2 1/2 " x 6". Score & fold on 3". Use a border punch along the bottom of each card. The panel measures 2 1/4" square. I simply stamped off on the larger image and then stamped directly on top with the smaller image/sentiment. SO EASY!!

The box is made using the Sizzix Clear Scallop Square (115950 $21.95). It is a series of scores & cuts - take a look:

Along the top & bottom, score at 3 scallops. Turn the square & score the other sides at 2 scallops. Snip the square from the 3" scallop to the 2" scallop to form the flaps (sides). Follow the instructions above to create the box. I added a bit of Lucky Limeade Baker's Twine (125572 $2.95) around the box. Simple & easy!

Colors used: Lucky Limeade, Daffodil Delight, Peach Parfait & Poppy Parade.

Its a warm, sunny Friday here in San Antonio! I have a quick & easy project for you to create in less than 5 minutes! A little 3x3 card featuring the Hearts from the Adorning Accents embossing folder (125601 $8.95) and the PS I Love You stamp set (w125460 $34.95 - c125462 $27.95). I created these in Cherry Cobbler, Melon Mambo & Rich Razzleberry. They will be tucked into customer orders this month as a "Thank You"... Just place any order and you will recieve one!

Today's post is a bit late as I traveled from Detroit to San Antonio for the Leadership Conference. I didn't get an opportunity to post before I left, but now, as I wait for my "roomies" to arrive, I have a few moments to post a couple of my swaps that I have created..

This card is a design I originally created for my Stamp Club. I loved the simplicity of it and it and it gave an opportunity to showcase a few new products..

A Great Find...

Good Morning, Stampers!

I was browsing my favorite little dollar store recently and came across these very large (12") plastic scissors in every color of the rainbow. I thought to myself, seriously, what does one do with a pair of large, plastic, colored scissors?? I know they are only a $1, but really??

Well, the wheels in my brain started turning. Nothing a little can of silver spray paint couldn't cure! lol!

I am heading off to Leadership in San Antonio tomorrow and I am anxious to give my "roomies"
this little treat. I just hope they don't give me a problem when going thru security - lol!!!

This stamp set has been on my wishlist for quite awhile! As I was assembling the little pig, I thought how fun he would be surrounded by a bunch of hearts - a little Valentine Pig!

This past weekend, my local downline met for our monthly meeting. This month's swap theme was "Valentine". I had so many red peppermints left over from my Holiday projects - good thing Valentine's Day follows Christmas - lol!!

Here is my swap:

The peppermint patty is sandwiched between two Melon Manbo scallop circles (119854 $16.95). I added the Triple Doily punch (122465 23.95) in Whisper White and topped them off with the letters from the Timeless Type Sizzix alphabet (115951 $74.95) in Early Espresso and the new little heart from the Take it to Heart (w125520 $29.95 - c125522 $23.95) from the Occasions Mini Catalog... The little bags are actually intended for candy-covered pretzels but they fit perfectly for this project! You can find these bags in any store that carries cake decorating products.

Good Morning, Stampers!

It's FRIDAY! My Fast & Fabulous Friday card uses some new toys from the Occasions Mini Catalog - FUN!!

The You're My Type stamp set (w125564 $17.95 - c125650 $13.95) is versatile for any occasion. Here, I created a simple Valentine.
Directions:

1. Stamp the typewriter & sentiment in Basic Black onto Whisper White cardstock & cut using the NEW Labels Collection Framelits (125598 $26.95).
2. Punch the Pinking Hearts (117649 $15.95) along the bottom of the card front.
3. Line the hearts with a thin strip of Red Glimmer Paper (121790 $4.95)
4. Punch a small heart (117193 $5.95) from Red Glimmer Paper & adhere with a dimensional.
5. Run the center of the card front using the hearts from the Adorning Accents embossing folders (125601 $8.95)
6. Adhere the typewriter using dimensionals.

I have been a little bit behind on my posting during the Holiday break - I apologize. I am finally back home & getting back into the "swing of things"!

Some of you may remember that my family loves to make their gifts for the Holidays, so when I came across these adorable trees from Elizabeth Price, I just knew I had to make them! Aren't they just too stinkin' cute??

I had so much fun making them that I kept going & going and made some for my Stamp Club Members, too! Here are just a few....

It's FRIDAY & I have a Fast & Fabulous project to share with you today! With the colder weather here, a good cup of tea is always in order. Why not surprise someone special with a presonalized tea bag? Take a look:

Simply create a small tag and adhere it to the end of the tea bag. It's make a great conversation starter!

To make the tag:

1. Cut a piece of Pink Pirouette with the Sizzix Scallop Heart of Hearts embosslit (117332 $11.95).

2. Stamp a few embellishments (the small heart is from the NEW Take it to Heart stamp set (w125520 $29.95 - c125522 $23.95) from the Occasions mini catalog.
3. Stamp a sentiment & add a few pearls or rhinestones.

Good Morning, Stampers!

I hope you all had a WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS with family & friends!

You may remember this card I created for my Vintage Winter Wonderland class last week. I decided to take this idea to create some simple Holiday thank you cards.

I kept the postcard feel & just decided to stamp both sides of a single 4 1/4" x 5 1.2" piece of Whisper White cardstock. As you can see, there is plenty of room to write on the backside - even with a few little stamped images!

These were SO EASY to make - I cranked out 20 cards in 30 minutes!! Here is a list of the supplies:

I am having so much fun playing with my new "toys" from the Occasions Mini Catalog! Hopefully, by now, you have received your copy in the mail. If you haven't, please contact me & I will get one off to you!

This card features the Hearts from the Adorning Accents embossing folders (125601 $8.95) on page 7. I love these dainty little hearts! The Hearts were cut from the Framelits Hearts Collection (125599 $26.95) on page 6. I embossed them with different embossing folders to give a bit of dimension. The coordinating Baker's Twine in Calypso Coral (125573 $2.95) is one of the 5 new in-colors and can be found on page 35. The Valentine sentiment is from the Delightful Dozen stamp set (w122650 $32.95 - c122652 $24.95) on page 167 of the Idea Book & Catalog.

Good Morning, Stampers!

It has become a bit of a tradition these last few years to make little desk-top calendars for the members of my Stamp Clubs & Weekly 3/$5 classes. Each year I think I will try something new, but I always hear that they look forward to getting a new calendar, so I have been keeping up on the tradition! This year's idea came from Carolina. Her little calendars & the instructions can be found here & are so adorable. The problem I had was that I didn't have the supplies that she did, so I had to improvise just a bit. I still love how they came out & everyone else did, too!

The only thing I did add to the calendar was tear-off pages. The perforating tool on the Cutter Kit (106958 $16.95) came in so handy for this! I think it will be helpful when the month's are over to just be able to tear them off. Now, I just need to start thinking of next year's calendar....

Fast & Fabulous Friday Treat Tag

Good Morning, Stampers!

I have a Fast & Fabulous Friday project to share with you today! This is one of the projects I offered in my FREE STAMP yesterday. I offer FREE STAMP every 3rd Thursday of the month. Come and stamp for FREE! You can't beat that!

I started with the Sizzix 2 Tags (115954 $21.95) and Very Vanilla cardstock. Once the tag was cut, I embossed it using the Stripes embossing folder (123128 $7.95). On a separate piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, I stamped the tag from the Beautiful Season stamp set (w122680 $21.95 - c122682 $16.95) using Real Red, Chocolate Chip & Old Olive Markers. I punched the image with the Curly Label punch (119851 $16.95) and adhered it to a piece of Real Red cardstock punched with the coordinating Sizzix Curly Label Movers & Shapers (114506 $42.95). I added it to the tag with a dimensional & finished it off with Real Red 1/8" taffeta ribbon (119251 $5.95) and a Candy Cane - YUM!

Christmas came a bit early for me this week when my new "toys" arrived from the upcoming 2012 Occasions Mini Catalog! One of the many benefits of being a SU Demonstrator - you get to purchase new products early!!

I absolutely fell in L O V E when I saw this new Sizzix Paper Doily (125592 $21.95)! It was the FIRST thing I put on my order - lol!

For today's project, I cut the center out of the doily...

...and added a few Red Glimmer paper (121790 $4.95) "berries", a 1/8" Real Red Taffeta bow (119251 $5.95) & a Holiday sentiment from the Four the Holidays stamp set (116921 $13.95) to create this festive Holiday wreath!

Holiday Stocking

Good Morning, Stampers!

I love that the Sizzix dies can be used for more than just paper! Take the Holiday Stocking die (124098 $32.95) from the Holiday Mini Catalog. I had an old pair of blue jeans my son had outgrown and I knew just what I wanted to do with them. The denim looks so good with the Springtime Vintage fabric (121817 $9.95) so I paired them together to come up with this vintage-looking stocking:
The trim is done using Victoria Crochet trim (118481 $6.95) which just adds to the vintage-look. I tried to get as close to the edge when sewing as having a seam does cut down the finished size of the stocking. Although there is still plenty of room to tuck a few candy canes or gift card inside!

Petite Treat Pockets

I love my downline both local & long distance! This month's long-distance downline swap's theme was a Holiday Treat. I created these little pocket's using the Sizzix Petite Pocket Bigz XL (123131 $42.95) & the Holly Berry DSP (124004 - $12.95) (have I mentioned how much I LOVE this paper??) The little tag from the Tags til Christmas stamp set (w120847 $30.95 - c121169 $22.95) coordinates beautifully with the pine cones from the Pines & Poinsettias stamp set (w123762 - c123764 $14.95) in the Holiday Mini Catalog, don't you think??

I love these little gem's so much, I think I will keep going & make some for teacher gift's this year, too!

Holiday Ornaments

Good Morning, Stampers!

I have a fun ornament project to share with you today - take a look!

I LOVE the Holly Berry Designer Paper (124004 $12.95) for this project (okay, any Holiday project!)

1. Begin with a glass ornament ball. Size won't matter - use what you prefer.

2. Tear your DSP into thin strips.

3. Using Mod Podge, spread a thin layer all over the bulb. Apply the DSP and follow with another layer of Mod Podge.

4. Sprinkle with Mica Flakes (124115) and allow to dry.

5. Embellish. I started with a piece of Very Vanilla Velvet stitched ribbon around the ball. I added 1/2 size "lollies", buttons, baker's twine, ribbon, stamps & pearls to finish it off.

It is a simple project to do - just kinda messy!

It's Friday! Time for a Fast & Fabulous project idea! I love the shimmer of our Glass Glitter. It has amazing sparkle & shine! I added some Multi-purpose Liquid Glue (110755 $3.95) to the rim of an inexpensive scented candle & sprinkled with the Champagne Glass Glitter (120997 $3.95). WOW! This is so beautiful! I am going to hunt my house for more of these to glitter - lol! I think they will add so much sparkle to a Holiday centerpiece with candles in all shapes & sizes!

My Holiday Card...

Good Morning, Stampers!

I am so thrilled that I was able to not only, create & complete my Holiday cards early this year, but also get them sent out the day AFTER Thanksgiving! I don't think I can remember a time that I have ever had them in the mail sooner than a week before Christmas - lol!

For those who know me well, I LOVE snowmen & my cards for the last, oh, 10 years, have had a snowman of some sort. I fully intended to use one of the many snowman sets that Stampin' Up has (they are all so adorable!!). But, while creating cards for one of my classes, I came up with this. Something just clicked & I knew this was going to be my card!

Yes, I suppose I could have snuck a snowman in the center, afterall, I wasn't "in love" with this stamp set to begin with. But how beautiful is that pinecone image?? Honestly, it is my ultimate favorite stamp set this Holiday Season!
